Indiana Members Credit Union Announces “Green” Initiatives

Indiana Members Credit Union (IMCU) announced the launch of a series of programs in their locations to better the environment.  IMCU is excited to announce their commitment to “Green” initiatives which are geared toward eco-friendly changes. The IMCU “Green” program is being implemented by employee volunteers to assist in the environmental efforts and encourage participation from the entire organization.

These efforts focus on the following areas:

• Adding an internal recycling program which includes collection bins in branches, departments, executive offices and kitchen areas for recyclable items including:  paper, plastics 1-7, aluminum, glass, tin, steel, foil, shrink wrap and plastic film
• Kicking off internal promotions to generate ways to be “Green”
• Researching products and cleaning solutions that are Enviro-Friendly and assist in conserving energy
• Reducing the amount of waste produced and eliminating Styrofoam Products
• Researching opportunities for the members to recycle used paper and plastic items in branch lobbies
